Why do you use linen?
Linen is soft, strong, and naturally beautiful. It’s a timeless fabric that holds up to everyday life while still feeling elevated. Plus, it’s made from flax — a low-impact crop that doesn’t require much water to grow.

What does OEKO-TEX® certified mean?
It means our fabric has been tested for harmful substances and is certified safe for you and your home. You can feel confident it’s gentle on skin and kind to live with.

What is GOTS certification?
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the gold standard for organic fabric. It looks at everything — from how the cotton is grown to how it’s processed — and ensures high social and environmental standards throughout.

Can I compost your dishcloths?
Yes — our Swedish dishcloths are made from natural cellulose and cotton. Once they’ve reached the end of their life, you can cut them up and pop them in your home compost.

How should I care for my Fayded products?
Most of our pieces are made to be lived with and washed regularly - Please see individual item pages for full details.

Where do you ship from?
We’re based in Tasmania, and all orders are packed and shipped from here with care.

How long does shipping take?
Standard orders usually arrive within 2–8 business days depending on your location. Express shipping is also available at checkout.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — we offer free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $75.

What’s your return policy?
If your item arrives damaged or isn’t quite right, please get in touch within 14 days. We’ll always do our best to make it right. See our full returns page for more info.

Are you Australian owned?
Yes — Fayded is proudly Australian owned and operated. It’s a small, one-woman business run by Hayley (hi!) from her home in Tasmania.

Who makes your products?
We work with small, trusted manufacturing partners who share our values of quality and care. Some of our linen and organic cotton is sourced and sewn offshore — but always with transparency, and always with natural materials at the core.

How do you pack orders?
All orders are packed plastic-free, using compostable or recyclable materials wherever possible. We avoid bubble wrap and excess waste, and sometimes reuse boxes from local businesses to reduce impact.
