Bamboo & Cotton Tea Towel Care Guide

Made for everyday use. With a little thoughtful care, your cotton + bamboo tea towels will soften and become even more absorbent over time.

  • Wash cool or warm

    Machine wash with similar colours on a gentle or everyday cycle. Cold is best for longevity, but a warm wash is perfectly fine for real life.

  • Line dry when you can

    Line dry in the shade where possible. An occasional tumble dry is fine, although repeated heat can increase shrinkage and wear over time.

  • Skip the softener

    Fabric softener can coat the fibres and reduce absorbency. Avoid bleach too, to help preserve the colour and fibres.

  • Better with use

    Natural cotton and bamboo fibres soften with washing and use. Your towels may become even more absorbent over time.

A note on cotton + bamboo


Made from a 50% cotton and 50% bamboo blend, these tea towels are designed for everyday kitchen life. We recommend cooler washing and line drying for the longest life, but we know real life isn't always a cold gentle cycle. Ours have handled warm washes and occasional tumble drying well. Higher temperatures may simply lead to more shrinkage, fading and fibre wear over time.
Warm iron if required. Do not dry clean.
