We pre-wash every pair before it leaves Hobart, so they work from day one. Give them three or four washes and they really hit their stride, taking on more water and drying faster on the rail.

Made to be used. Not folded away for guests. Hang one by the sink, keep one over the oven door, and use them every day.

  • Skip the fabric softener, as it coats the fibres and reduces absorbency
  • Shake out before line drying, or tumble dry low

We pre-wash every pair, so they're absorbent from the first dry. The fibres keep opening up over the first few washes, so they're at their best by wash four.
They'll firm up slightly over time, which is normal for waffle weave. Skip the fabric softener and give them a shake before drying to keep them softer for longer.
Each towel is approx. 60 × 48 cm, a classic tea towel size for everyday drying.
No. The fabric is OEKO-TEX® certified, which means it's been tested for harmful substances. We'd rather tell you that clearly than suggest otherwise. We were unable to source GOTS certified organic fabric (what we call gold standard for organic, so without that our OEKO-TEX® certification does the heavy lifting of checking for any harmful chemicals)
